<p>Provided are a grasping device that ensures a smaller, more compact size to thereby allow mounting on small machinery or the like and ensure lighter weight, and a construction machine on which the grasping device is mounted. The grasping device comprises a gear mechanism (30) in which a sun gear (73) and a concentric annular internal gear (71) are disposed, and which has a plurality of intermediate gears (68) mounted in the annular space between the internal gear (71) and the sun gear (73). The plurality of intermediate gears (68) is rotatably supported by a bracket attached to the construction machine or the like, and a grasping device pivot cylinder (23) for rotatably driving the internal gear (71) or the sun gear (73) is provided to the construction machine or the like as machinery. An upper fork (36) is attached to the internal gear (71), and a lower fork (32) for grasping cargo (90) or the like in cooperation with the upper fork (36) is attached to the sun gear (73) to which rotational force is transmitted from the internal gear (71) via the intermediate gears (68).</p> |
