METHOD, SYSTEM, AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING DATA DURING ACCESS POINT SWITCHING PROCESS

A method, system, and device for transmitting data during an access point switching process, for use in solving the problem found in the prior art that the latency of an interruption to a data side is increased during the access point switching in a heterogeneous network. The method of embodiments of the present invention comprises: a user equipment determines that a reconfiguration of all or some DRB from a source cell to a target cell is needed while an RRC connection is kept unchanged; and, during the access point switching process of the data side, the user equipment transmits data via a data radio bearer of a source cell, where the data radio bearer of the source cell is the last data radio bearer used before the access point switching of the data side. Because the user equipment transmits the data via the data radio bearer of the source cell during the access point switching process, the latency of the interruption to the data side during the access point switching in the heterogeneous network is reduced; this further increases switching efficiency and reduces data transmission time.
