A CIRCULAR KNITTING MACHINE WITH A FINE GAUGE

A circular knitting machine having fine gauge comprises a circular cylinder and a sinker holder located in the exterior of the circular cylinder with a ring shape. The circular cylinder comprises: a plurality of knitting needles parallel to the axial direction of the circular cylinder in order to be moved by turns; and a ring-shaped upper surface corresponding to the knitting needles. The sinker holder comprises a plurality of retention slots for retaining a plurality of sinkers. Each sinker comprises: a moving edge which is located on the slide edge and the surface of the ring-shaped upper surface and extended from the slide edge into the same height against the ring-shaped upper surface; and a ring forming nose located between the adjacent two knitting needles. Each retention slot comprises a leaning surface contacting the slide edge to move the sinker to the ring-shaped upper surface for continuing ring forming motion.
