According to one embodiment of the present invention, a server which performs benchmarking on a smart device includes: a communication unit which sends question data for analyzing the smart device usage pattern of a user to the smart device and receives response data to the question data from the smart device; a workload generation unit which generates a benchmarking workload for performing benchmarking based on the response data; and a benchmarking execution unit which performs benchmarking on the smart device according to the benchmarking workload and obtains result data. By doing so, the present invention can minimize the risk of personal information leakage and bring user-friendly benchmarking results out of the existing standardized benchmarking result, thereby providing useful information to both the consumers and the developers of smart devices.
