Provided is an imaging device and an imaging system with which abnormal sections within the imaging device can be specified in detail. This imaging device comprises: a sensor unit (244a) which has a light receiving unit (244f) which is provided with a plurality of pixels that photoelectrically converts the light that each pixel has received and generates an electric signal after photoelectric conversion and which is capable of reading the electric signal that the light receiving unit (244f) has generated as image information; a control unit (244e) which controls output mode of the electric signal that each pixel outputs in pixel units and outputs the electric signal that corresponds to a predetermined display pattern; an AFE unit (244b) which conducts signal processing of the electric signal outputted by the sensor unit (244a); and a transmitting unit (P/S conversion unit (244c)) which transmits the signal processed by the AFE unit (244b) outside.
