[Problem] To provide a scroll compressor that achieves reduced production costs and that is capable of exhibiting excellent durability even when used under severe conditions. [Solution] An electric scroll compressor in which a double-sided slide bearing (37) is provided between a drive bush (31) and a boss section (19b), and a double-sided slide bearing (27) is provided between one end (29c) of a drive shaft (29) and a fixed block (15). For example, the double-sided slide bearing (37) comprises a cylindrical outer slide member (53) that is provided to the boss section (19b) and a cylindrical inner slide member (51) that is provided to a bush section (33). The outer boundary area (Bo) of the inner peripheral surface (19s) of the boss section (19b) and the outer peripheral surface (53s) of the outer slide member (53) is rotatable relative to the inner boundary area (Bi) of the inner peripheral surface (51s) of the inner slide member (51) and the outer peripheral surface (33s) of the bush section (33). The outer slide member (53) and the inner slide member (51) form first and second step sections (37a, 37b) on both ends of the axial direction thereof as a result of having differing lengths in the axial direction.
