<p>The present invention relates to an artificial saliva composition retaining viscoelasticity, anti-fungal activity, and fungicidal activity - properties which are similar to those of human salvia - and comprising hyaluronic acid, lysozyme, lactoperoxidase, glucose oxidase, SCN- or <sup/>I-, sugar alcohol, and a buffer, wherein the hyaluronic acid exhibits a viscosity of about 1.0 to 20 cps at a shear rate of about 11.3 to 450.0 sec-1. Since the artificial saliva composition of the present invention sustains the anti-fungal and fungicidal activity of an added ingredient while exhibiting viscoelasticity similar to saliva, the present invention is effective at preventing or treating diseases related to hyposalivation.</p> |
