The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for collecting an optimal sound from a subject when shooting or playing a video, a microphone allocation structure and an operation method thereof. First and second microphones are located with a certain distance in different axes in one side surface of a body of a mobile terminal, and three or more microphones are located in different positions and gaps on sides of the body with various situation changes. The audio zooming performance is optimized by using selectively determined numbers and combinations of microphones collecting audio according to a user's behavioral scenario.
