Provided is a dye-sensitized solar cell which exhibits excellent heat resistance and high photoelectric conversion efficiency. This dye-sensitized solar cell is provided with: a cathode which has a semiconductor layer that contains a photosensitizer dye; an electrolyte layer which is laminated on the semiconductor layer of the cathode and which contains both an oxidized species and a reduced species that is the counterpart of the oxidized species; and an anode which is laminated on the electrolyte layer and which has a conductive polymer layer that acts a catalyst for converting the oxidized species into the reduced species. The conductive polymer layer of the anode comprises: a polymer which is made from at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of 3,4-substituted thiophenes; and anions which are derived from at least one non-sulfonic organic compound such that the anion of the compound has a molecular weight of 200 or more and which serve as a dopant for the polymer. The conductive polymer layer has a thickness of 100 to 10000nm.
