<p>Provided is a tactile sensation presentation device capable of presenting complicated tactile sensations including tactile sensations presented using current stimulation and tactile sensations presented using static electricity. The tactile sensation presentation device comprises: a plurality of first electrodes arranged upon the same plane and covered by an insulating film; a plurality of second electrodes arranged upon said plane and having the upper surfaces thereof exposed externally; and a control unit that performs, in parallel, a first operation in which a temporally changing first voltage is applied to some first electrodes among the plurality of first electrodes and an electric field is generated that changes as a result of said some of the first electrodes, and a second operation in which a first temporally changing current is applied to some of the second electrodes among the plurality of second electrodes and a current is caused to flow from said some of the second electrodes, via a conductor, to second electrodes differing from said some of the second electrodes.</p> |
