The present invention relates to a cargo tank of a membrane LNG ship. The cargo tank of a membrane LNG ship according to one embodiment of the present invention has a dual structure composed of a first barrier, a second barrier and an outer barrier. The cargo tank of a membrane LNG ship includes a first insulation material, a first buffering member, a second insulation material and a second buffering member. The first insulation material is placed between the first barrier and the second barrier. The first buffering member is placed between the first barrier and the first insulation material. The second insulation material is placed between the second barrier and the outer barrier. The second buffering member is placed between the second barrier and the second insulation material. The first and second buffering members includes an outer plate capable of minimizing friction between a buffering material and the barrier by contacting with the first or second barrier, and a buffering plate contacting with the first or second insulation material having a repeated predetermined pattern to mitigate a shock. According to the present invention, the insulation material is not damaged even by sloshing by a cargo because the membrane cargo tank having a dual structure is composed of a wall surface having a dual structure including a buffering member.
