FIBER SIZING AGENT AND USE APPLICATIONS THEREOF

The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a fiber sizing agent which can impart excellent adhesion properties and excellent adhesion resistance to yarns and does not undergo unintended removal; a sized yarn produced by sizing a yarn with the fiber sizing agent; and a method for producing a woven fabric using the sized yarn. The fiber sizing agent according to the present invention contains a copolymer and/or a neutralized product thereof, a wax and water as essential components, wherein the copolymer is produced by copolymerizing polymerizable components, i.e., (meth)acrylic acid, a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester monomer and a styrene monomer. The sizing agent has such a characteristic property that an aqueous solution of the sizing agent, in which the concentration of solid contents that are contained in the sizing agent has been adjusted to 12% by weight, has a surface tension of 30 to 60 mN/m.
