In order to provide an electric discharge apparatus, wherein an electric discharge member is prevented from being cut, and both the reduction of thickness and improvement of assemblability are achieved, this electric discharge apparatus is provided with an electric discharge electrode and a counter electrode, which are facing each other. The electric discharge electrode is provided with: an electric discharge member facing the counter electrode; a ring-like terminal attached to an end portion of the electric discharge member, said end portion being in the longitudinal direction of the electric discharge member; and a tube, which has electrical insulating characteristics, and which covers an attaching portion where the end portion of the electric discharge member, and the terminal are attached to each other.
