The present invention is applicable to the field of communications and provides a bandwidth adjusting method between a macro cell and a micro cell in a long term evolution (LTE) system, and a base station. The method comprises: receiving real-time state information of a micro cell transmitted by a micro base station; and judging whether the bandwidth between the macro cell and the micro cell needs to be adjusted according to the real-time state information, and correspondingly determining whether the bandwidth between the macro cell and the micro cell is adjusted according to the real-time state information. The technical scheme of the present invention has the advantages of reasonably distributing the bandwidth resources and conveniently adjusting the bandwidth.
