<p>Disclosed is a method for transmitting a small IP packet. The method includes: establishing a control plane transmission channel between a packet data network gateway (PGW) and a mobility management entity (MME); and transmitting a small IP packet via the control plane transmission channel between the PGW and the MME. Accordingly, disclosed is a system for transmitting a small IP packet, which realizes the transmission of a small IP packet between UE and an AS without depending on a user plane between the UE and a GGSN/PGW, can be widely applicable to various network scenes, and can reduce the signalling overhead, improve the processing efficiency and reduce the network load at the time of processing an IP packet of a small data quantity.</p> |
