Provided in embodiments of the present application are a method and terminal for reporting channel state information. The embodiments of the present invention determine via the terminal at least two pieces of CSI that need to be reported, and, when the sum of loads for reporting the at least two pieces of CSI is greater than a load threshold value, allow the terminal to report some pieces of CSI in the at least two pieces of CSI on the basis of priority information of the at least two pieces of CSI, thus allowing the sum of loads of the some pieces of CSI to be less than or equal to the load threshold value.
