<p>A parallax barrier typed stereoscopic image device according to the present invention comprises image panels displaying a left-eye image and a right-eye image, a liquid crystal layer, a reference electrode which is located on the top of the liquid crystal layer, and a plurality of driving electrode channels located on the lower part of the liquid crystal layer which may be driven individually. The device has a barrier panel that has a switchable barrier that can selectively block the light from the image panel, and it supplies a reference voltage to the reference electrode and authorizes a channel driving voltage to the driving electrode channels. It also includes a driver which provides and separates a blocking region and a transmission region. The driving electrode channels have a first channel group of a first layer that is separated from the reference electrode, and a second channel group of a second layer that is even widely separated from the reference electrode as the first group. To implement the blocking area of the first channel group, the driving voltage applied to the first channel and the driving voltage is applied to the second channel differ from each other.</p> |
