The method involves detecting the status of electronic device (10') by two sensors (21a,21b) for respectively generating a detection signal, and comparing the two detection signals with threshold. The two position signals are generated if the detection signals correspond to threshold. A value table is searched according to detection signals, for generating a control command. An independent bit corresponding to the control command is stored in register (13), to alter or maintain the power supply assembly of peripheral components (31a-31c). An independent claim is included for an electronic device.
