A browser for a media editing application provides simultaneous access to multiple categories of media. The user can drag the edge of a media browser to create a new window, which can then be populated with a new category of media content. The user can identify and select multiple items of content at one time, and move them to the timeline tracks in conjunction with one another. The different media windows can be associated with corresponding tracks, or roles, in the timeline. If the user selects media from multiple windows simultaneously, they can be added to the timeline as one group, with each item of content being positioned within its corresponding track or role of the timeline. |
