<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide X-ray photographing equipment constituted so as to reduce the load of an operator at the time of attachment and detachment of an option unit or at the time of operation of respective shafts in the attachment state of the option unit and capable of eliminating danger such that the option unit collides with the mechanism in the equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The attachment and detachment state of the option unit 9 is detected by a detection means 8 and the drive ranges of the respective shafts 21, 22-32 for driving a sample table 2 or an X-ray detector 3 are restricted according to the detection content of the detection means. The positions of the respective shafts optimum to the attachment and detachment of the option unit 9 are stored in a memory 41 and the respective shafts are automatically controlled according to the memory content of the memory 41 by a command to be located.
