<p>The method involves actuating a longitudinal actuator (4) of a vehicle by a control unit (3). A friction coefficient of wheels of the vehicle on a subsurface is determined such that the control unit utilizes the friction coefficient during setting and/or calculation of manipulated variables that are assignable to the actuator, where the variables adjusted by the control unit consist of a time point or strength of a brake intervention. The determined friction coefficient is classified such that the friction coefficient classified is utilized during a longitudinal control of the vehicle. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for performing a driving assistance method (2) a driving assistance system.</p> |
