The control system (1) has an actuator (4) for actuating a clutch (2) of a transmission (3), where the actuator is controlled by an electronic control unit (5). Another electronic control unit (7) is provided in the control system for controlling the actuator. The latter electronic control unit is supplied with electrical energy based on the control of the actuator, when the former electronic control unit has a fault. The former electronic control unit is formed as a transmission control unit and the latter electronic control unit is formed as an engine control unit or hybrid controller.
