PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance slip judging accuracy for a vehicle by lessening misjudgement of slip and secure the running stability of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A judgement whether a slip is generated is performed by comparing the deviation of the wheel speed of the driving wheels 28a and 28b sensed by wheel speed sensors 34a, 34b, 36a, 36b from the wheel speed of the non-driving wheels 29a and 29b with the slip judging threshold set as incremental with higher vehicle body speed sensed by a vehicle body sensor 48. Because the slip judging threshold is set large while the fact is taken into consideration that the error included in each wheel speed sensed by the sensor 34a, 34b, 36a, 36b gives a greater influence upon the slip judgement as the body speed V becomes higher, misjudgement of slip can be lessened.
