A mobile terminal supporting a multi-tasking function and a control method thereof are provided. A mobile terminal includes a display unit, and a controller. The display unit displays an execution screen of an application being executed on a foreground. The controller monitors applications being executed on a background. The controller selects at least one of the applications on the background, and controls the display unit to display a control menu for the selected application together with the execution screen of the application being executed on the foreground. |
