Use of protease for improving gloss on dishes and/or cutlery made of stainless steel in an automatic dishwasher, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) a flowable dishwasher detergent comprising sulfopolymer and protease, where the sulfopolymer is present in an amount of 1-25 wt.%, preferably 1.5-20 wt.%, and the active protease is present in an amount of 0.01-2 wt.%, preferably 0.08-0.5 wt.%; (2) a combination product comprising a packing agent and the dishwashing detergent of at least two free-flowing aqueous dishwashing liquid components A and B located in the packing agent separated from each other, where the component A includes 10-74.9 wt.% of building materials, 0.1-10 wt.% of enzyme preparation, and 24.9-89.8 wt.% of water, the component B includes 10-75 wt.% of building materials, less than 0.1 wt.% of enzyme preparation, and 25-90 wt.% of water, the sulfopolymer is contained in the component A and/or the component B, and optionally available phosphonate independent of sulfopolymer is contained in the component A and/or the component B; and (3) a machine dishwashing method for improving gloss on dishes and/or cutlery made of stainless steel, comprising loading the dishwasher having goods to be cleaned, comprising dishes and/or cutlery and either dosing the automatic dishwashing detergent containing the protease in the machine or dosing the automatic dishwashing detergent without the protease and the protease preparation separated from each other in the machine and then performing a rinsing process.
