The method involves heating the fuel by heat exchange with a lubricant of the gas turbine (2) before injecting the fuel into a combustion chamber (8). The fuel flows through a heat exchanger (6) on the secondary side, and the lubricant flows on the primary side. A portion of fuel and a portion of lubricant are guided over at the heat exchanger for temperature regulation. The lubricant is cooled by heat exchange with a medium other than the fuel.
