<p>The over-buffering protection device (12) has a base plate (1) parallel to the front side of a lower frame. The base plate is folded above a buffer. A lateral web (2) on both sides of the base plate projects beyond the beveled or angled portion of the base plate. Ribs (5) are provided above the folded portion of the base plate between a circumferential lip shock (4) and a cover plate (9). The lateral web is half the width of the lower crash buffer, such as the width of the upper crash buffer.</p>
