<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow processing such as reforming and machining to be performed with high quality at a converging position of a femtosecond laser beam converging inside a transparent material. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for processing inside the transparent material, a femtosecond laser beam is converged inside the transparent material which is freely movably held in a solution having a refractive index nearly equal to one in the transparent material. Then, the transparent material is moved in the solution, thereby relatively moving the converging position of the femtosecond laser beam with respect to the transparent material, and performing processing of the inside of the transparent material by the effect of the femtosecond laser beam converged inside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
