The present invention relates to a 9.1 channel surround speaker system and, more specifically, to a speaker system, in which an inclosure includes one or more speakers, comprises a pair of upper and lower inclosures, and stands erect such that the upper and lower inclosures are in different heights, and the inclosure comprises a driving part which rotates the upper and lower inclosures from left to right to change the output direction of the speaker. An audio playback device comprises: a decoder for dividing an audio signal into 10 channel signals; a control module for checking upper or lower channel signals based on UFL, UFR, DFL, DFR, CEN, WO, UBL, UBR, DBL and DBR channel signals divided by the decoder, controlling to compensate the channel signals, and allocating the channel signals; and a signal compensation module for respectively changing the time different between upper and lower channel signals, allocated by the control module, and upper and lower channel output values to compensate the signals such that the user can feel the position and distance of a sound source which moves from bottom to top or vice versa. Thus, the speaker system can readily represent the position and directivity of the sound source, can provide sound effects according to the height difference, and can reproduce sound with high density around the user. |
