<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure judging device for a seat belt, which does not wrongly judge that the seat belt is failed even if it takes much time for wearing the seal belt restraining an occupant to a seat of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The failure judging device for the seat belt comprises a tongue detecting portion 50 detecting a tongue engaged with a buckle of the seat belt, and outputting engaging/disengaging information E indicating an engaging/disengaging state thereof; a speed measuring portion 23 measuring the speed v of the vehicle; a recognizing portion 22 recognizing dead time from the engaging/disengaging information E; and a failure judging portion 25 judging whether a failure signal R should be outputted or not on the basis of the recognition of the dead time and the speed v. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
