673,034. Valve amplifying circuits. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Jan. 17, 1950 [Jan. 20, 1949], No. 1196/50. Addition to 645,989. Class 40 (vi). In a very high-frequency amplifier in which the pass-band is mainly determined by circuits subsequent to the first valve, and in which noise produced by transit-time grid current in this valve is reduced, as disclosed in the parent Specification, by detuning the input circuit to present an impedance which is slightly capacitative over the pass-band of the amplifier, a condenser of the order of 1 pF is connected between the anode and grid of the first valve. The arrangement is more particularly applicable where the valve is of screen-grid, or pentode, type. |
