The appliance has a power cord (20) providing an electrical connection between an electric motor and a connector (21). A housing element (30) partly forms an outer enclosure of a motor base (100) and comprises an outlet (31) through which the cord is connected to the motor base. The housing element comprises a slot (32) connecting the outlet to an edge (33) of the housing element so as to permit insertion of the power cord in the outlet through the cord in the slot of the housing element during assembly of the appliance. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a culinary electrical household appliance.
