A cowl structure for an automobile that may both impede movements of air and guide moisture in a cowl portion, even with a small number of components. Plural screen plates (34A, 34B) and a guide plate (38) are disposed inside the cowl portion (14). The screen plate (34A) and screen plate (34B) impede movements of air in the cowl portion (14). The guide plate (38) guides water inside the cowl portion (14) to a vehicle forward side thereof. The screen plate (34A) and screen plate (34B) are joined by the guide plate (38).
