<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hitless switch device that prevents a pointer value from changing abruptly when changing a current VT Switch Fabric to a reserve one, by allowing the pointer values outputted from pointer circuits arranged at current and reserve sides to coincide continuously, and can prevent an error from occurring in the next stage device. <P>SOLUTION: Read and write addresses from and to a memory, respectively, are transmitted to a reserve-side VT pointer circuit from a current-side one to cancel the difference between the pointer value of the current-side VT pointer circuit and that of the reserve-side one caused by the difference, in the phase between the read address from the memory of the current- and reserve-side VT pointer circuits and the write address to the memory, and the reserve-side read and write addresses are rewritten by a transmitted address value, thus allowing a current-side address value to coincide with a reserve-side one, and hence allowing the pointer values to coincide each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
