Shock absorber for a bicycle

The shock absorber has damping valve (8) for hydraulically connecting first and second damper chambers (3,4) of damper device (1). The damping valve is provided with flow duct (7) and field generating device (11) that generates field and controls field intensity in flow duct of damping valve. The flow duct is provided with collection chamber (13) that is hydraulically connected with first damper chamber through several flow apertures (14,15), and second damper chamber through several fan-type damping ducts that are separated from one another by fan wall.
