<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The tape has a foam strip (2) made of flexible foam i.e. polyurethane, and including a pair of side surfaces (4), a top surface (6) and a bottom surface (8), where the side surfaces are extended along a longitudinal direction (B). The foam strip consists of a set of three-dimensional foam segments (10) separated from each other by a set of cuts (12) downwardly extended from the top surface into the foam strip. Few of the foam segments are completely surrounded in the longitudinal direction and in a transverse direction (A) by the other foam segments. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Sealing tape for winding up into a roll (claimed) for sealing a joint between a structural component i.e. frame, of a window or door and a structural component i.e. wall, of a building. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The tape is simple in design and offers a superior insulating effect even when masonry of a joint to be sealed is highly uneven. The former foam segments are completely surrounded in the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction by the latter foam segments, thus compensating a lack of evenness in masonry as a result of a segmented design of the foam strip with multiple closely arranged and adjacent foam segments among which each foam segment can independently expand with respect to other foam segments and hence ensuring that the foam segments make better contact with the masonry and produce a reliable and consistent seal. The cuts are extremely narrow, so that each foam segment is separated from each other and is made to closely rest against each other, such that a maximum sealing effect is preserved and the tape is simply produced.
