According to one embodiment, a lighting device (1, 11) includes: a body section (2); a light source (3); a globe (5); and a reflecting section (9, 19). The light source (3) is provided on one end portion (2a) of the body section (2) and has a light emitting element (3b). The globe (5) is provided so as to cover the light source (3). The reflecting section (9, 19) is provided opposite to the light source (3). A surface of the reflecting section (9, 19) on opposite side from the light source side is exposed from the globe (5).
