The procedure, in which a polluted liquid is made to flow over the surface of a layer of photocatalytic paper (3) while it is illuminated, e.g. by the sun, differs by having the second surface of the photocatalytic paper illuminated at the same time, e.g. by a mirror (6) reflecting the sun's rays onto it. The procedure can be carried out using a trough (2) from which the liquid flows over the catalytic paper supported by an inclined sheet of reinforced glass (1). One variant of the procedure can use a tractor-towed trailer and a pumped circuit to deliver the liquid to the trough; another can use a series of vertical panels illuminated by lamps as the liquid flows over both sides of them. |
