The method involves arranging an excavating device (6) on a working carriage (2) that is driven on a track (1), and continuously moving the working carriage forward during excavation of a trench (4). An excavated material is supplied continuously to the working carriage or another working carriage after the excavation, where the latter working carriage is driven on the track or on an adjacent track. The material is supplied by using a conveyor (10) that is pivotable around a vertical axis, where the excavating device has a position measuring device for determining position of the track. |
