PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an object image by reducing load in arithmetic processing and recognizing the object at high speed. SOLUTION: An object detection apparatus extracts the image feature quantity of each pixel which constitutes a detection object image; discriminates whether each pixel constitutes the object based on the image feature quantity; converts the detection object image into n value images (n is an integer≥2); generates an integral image for discriminating a certainty factor as to whether the images of predetermined pixel range which constitutes the detection object images based on the n value images constitutes the object image or not; and discriminates whether the images corresponding to a detection window set based on the integral image is the object image constituting the object.
