<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire physical topology information of a device which cannot be managed by SNMP in order to manage a network. <P>SOLUTION: A processor 11 transmits an acquisition request for physical topology information of a communication equipment 3 to a processor 21. The processor 21 transmits client information creation request to all ports of a communication equipment 2. A processor 31 creates client information (physical topology information of the communication equipment 3), and transmits client information to the processor 21. The processor 21 analyzes the physical topology information of the received communication equipment 3, creates physical topology information of the communication equipment 2, and transmits it to the processor 11.
