<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newel post mounting structure capable of mounting a newel post precisely, in particular, its lower end part to a floor to achieve satisfactory appearance in its finish, excellent in strength and durability and capable of very simply and inexpensively mounting the newel post of stairs. <P>SOLUTION: In this newel post mounting structure of the stairs composed of a newel post main body and a newel post fixture of the stairs, a handrail, balusters, steps, and beams, the newel post fixing device is composed of a basic part for mounting and supporting the lower end part of the newel post and a fitting member for covering the lower end part of the newel post in a section of the basic part. The newel post is constituted by a cylindrical body having a void in its inside, and a lower end part of the cylindrical body is fitted and inserted into the newel post fixture to mount and fix the newel post. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
