<p>The optoelectronic sensor (10) has a light transmitter (18) with a transmission light-modulation unit (16) for emitting the transmission light modulated with a signal. A light receiver (26) is provided with a receiving sensitivity-modulation unit (28) for receiving the light (24) from the monitored area (22) with a receiving sensitivity modulated with another signal, so that the light receiver acts as mixer. The light receiver has multiple landslide photo diode elements which are pre-loaded with a bias voltage above a breakover voltage. An independent claim is included for a method for measuring distances of objects in a monitoring area of a vehicle in a light transit time process.</p> |
