METHOD OF BLOCKING A CHANNEL OF A PLATE HEAT EXCHANGER

A method of blocking a channel (5) between at least one pair of adjacent plates (2) of a plate heat exchanger (1). The method comprises placing a balloon (6) or similar in a first port (4) of the channel (5) and inflating the balloon (6) in order to seal the port (4) from the channel (5), preparing a thermoset substance (75) and pumping the substance (75) into the channel (5) from a second port (3), wherein the channel (5) is at least partly filled, curing of the substance (75) and removing the balloon (6). A related plat heat exchanger and filling pipe are also described.
