<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide which minimizes the optical losses at both end connection parts even in an optical splitter, a directional coupler or the like, and also eliminates the need for setting an offset. <P>SOLUTION: This is a curved optical waveguide having a S-shape core form that does not have a mis-aligned structure of the axis halfway, wherein the curvature at one end is 0, and the curvature at the other end is limited (>0). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
