Method for suppressing interference noises and corresponding hearing aid

The method involves generating a cepstral coefficient of an input signal i.e. acoustic signal, and modifying the cepstral coefficient of the input signal. A noise-reduced output signal is generated from the input signal using the modified cepstral coefficient, where the input signal is picked up by the hearing device. A spectral coefficient of a noise power is generated by a noise estimation of the input signal. The cepstral coefficient of the noise power is determined from the spectral coefficient of the noise power. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a hearing device (2) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions for performing a method for reducing noise.
