The invention provides a method for producing alpha-olefin resins with improved fouling and sheeting properties including at least one slurry-phase polymerisation step, wherein the catalyst particles are contacted with a catalyst poisoning agent before contacting alpha-olefin monomers in said slurry phase polymerisation step.
