摘要 A method for controlling a cleaning robot and a system thereof are provided to improve efficiency of cleaning by transmitting first and second cleaning performing maps. A method for controlling a cleaning robot comprises the steps of: generating(S101) a first cleaning performing map with respect to a cleaning history according to the performing of cleaning; generating(S107) a second cleaning performing map by newly designating a cleaning area on the basis of the first cleaning performing map; and executing(S110) the cleaning according to the second cleaning performing map. The process of generating the first cleaning performing map generates a map by dividing a non-cleaning area into a cleaned area generated during performing of cleaning, and executes the cleaning according to the pre-set cleaning performing scheme. The first cleaning performing map includes the image information on the non-cleaning area.
