A method for producing eco-friendly putty and mortar using loess and medicinal herb powder is provided to realize a health-aid effect including far infrared ray emitting effect, sick house syndrome-preventing effect, and air refreshing effect, and to obtain a finishing material having improved service life. A method for producing eco-friendly putty and mortar using loess and medicinal herb powder comprises the steps of: drying loess and crushing the loess to a size of 325 mesh to obtain loess powder; drying Chinese medicinal herbs including mugwort, Houttuynia Cordata, peppermint, licorice, etc. and crushing the medicinal herbs to a size of about 100 mesh to obtain medicinal herb powder; and mixing 20% of the loess powder, 5% of the medicinal herb powder, 65% of silica sand and 10% of a natural adhesive and stirring the mixture for about 2 hours.
