METHOD FOR WATER PURIFICATION FROM MANGANESE COMPOUNDS

A method for water purification from mangenese compounds comprises water filtration through manganese-containing charge. Grounded pyrolusite, is used as manganese-containing charge, previously treated with a polymer of organic or inorganic nature in quantity of 0.5-2.5 % of pyrolusite weight followed by the thermal treatment. This invention provides the increasing of specific volume of water, purified from manganese compounds, as well as amount of sorption volume of filtering material due to increase of structural stability of grounded pyrolusite.
